So in the past I haven't been much of a reader. I could never find a book that I could get into. I think part of my problem was that I don't like books about mysteries or anything thats not real. I like books about real events that have happened or real people who have actually lived.
I couldn't find any good books, at our library that is, about stuff that has actually happened. If I did find one it would be more like a reference book for reports and not an actual book like I wanted.
I decided to change things up. My mom is a big fan of Stephen King. She always would tell me about the books. I decided to give them a shot. I read "Carrie" first. To my surprise I got really into it. I read it in about a week. After I got done with that I started reading " 'Salem's Lot." The beginning of it started out pretty slow, but I'm starting to get into the good stuff now.
I'm really looking forward to his other books I read in the future. :]]
I am so glad to hear that you are becoming more of a reader. Really, that is a great accomplishment! I am proud of you. I hope that you like Anne Frank. It gets kind of sad toward the end because you become attached to her. And because we know already how her life ended--it is truly a tragic end.
