Topic: Last night with Alison...

So Alison text messaged me last night and wanted to go tanning and for a walk. I was really pale so I said sure. Her cousin Kelli Kula has a tanning bed in her basement so that's where we go. She goes first because she's tanned more than me. So once she was in the tanning bed I went and sat in a chair next to her so we could talk. About 7 minutes after being there she flung out of the tanning bed. This resulted in me seeing more of Alison than I needed to. A lady bug had flown into her face, which caused her to jump out of the tanning bed. It was pretty funny after she told me why she jumped out.

When she was done it was my turn. I got in and then she came in a sat in the chair and talked to me. Nothing like that happened to me though. After I was done I got out and went upstairs. Alison was freezing after getting out, but I had jeans and a sweatshirt so I wasn't as cold. She went outside, but I stayed in and played with the cats with a laser pointer. Even though I'm allergic to them, but it's a good way to play with them at a distance.

Topic: What I would take with me if I went into hiding

If I had to go into hiding I would take:
  • my family (but they'd probably have to go with me anyways)
  • my cell phone and charger (always on silent or vibrate)
  • clothes
  • my computer (maybe)
  • candy :)
  • books to read
  • board games and/or puzzles
  • food and water (if there isn't already some there)
  • body wash
  • lots of blankets and pillows (probably my heated blanket --I'm always cold--)
  • and probably other things that I might need
I wouldn't take:
  • my dogs (they bark at everything) :(
  • TV's
  • my sister's vocal cords (they both fight and yell a lot!!)
  • our Wii
  • a hair dryer (way to loud)
  • Other loud things that might lead to us

Topic: Urban Dictionary

Alexandra

One of the best friends you could ever meet. Sometimes quiet and patient but when she's around a group shes wild and fun. She is always there to listen to you and give you a hug if you need one. She is willing to try anything and is very athletic. She can talk for hours or just have no idea what's going on. She is an overall great person to be around.

Megan-who's that girl over there?

Zach-I dont know but she's really hot!

Zach-I think her name is Alexandra.

Megan-Yeah she looks like an Alexandra

I think this pretty well describes me except for “is very athletic” part, because that’s definitely not something I am. I usually am very quite but not very patient. If you ask my friends they’ll probably say I’m wild and fun. I do always like to hear what my friends have to say. I’m not usually a hug person, but if my friend really wants a hug, sure what the heck. I don’t think I can talk for hours and I usually know what’s going on. Obviously people call me Lexi, but that definition was exactly opposite of me. I’m not sure that two people would have a conversation like the one above about me.

Topic: Last Saturday (2-27-10)

I went to the boys district game last saturday. I didn't know if I wanted to go because after the cruise I went on in 2007(or 8) I get motion sick really bad. I didn't know if I could make it 2 hours on a bus, but what the heck you only live once. I was surprised I didn't get sick on the way down or back. After the game I went to Alison's house. Myranda went too. Myranda, Alison, and Promise are my 3 closes friends.

We always have a lot of fun when we're together. Alison was tired so she fell asleep first. Myranda and I were sleep deprived, but didn't want to sleep. We were laying on the floor laughing over nothing and saying the weirdest, random things ever.

In the morning we woke up because Alison's little brother Andrew came up yelling breakfast. Myranda threw a shoe at him :). We eventually went down stairs. There was ham, french toast, potatoes, and waffles. Andrew eat a huge piece of ham, 3 pieces of toast, and a waffle. When he was done he actually ate off of Alison's plate. Myranda had to leave but then me and Alison watched iCarly. :D

Topic: Wisconsin Dells Trip 2010

So a few weekends ago I went to Wisconsin Dells with Alison (Susie), Kate (Lois), Theresa (Lanna), Sam N., and my mom. It was a blast. We left on Saturday, February 20. We got to our "timber" at about 3-4 in the after noon. We didn't really know what we wanted to do that day so we hung out and rested. Later the night we decided to go inner-tubing. It was a blast. I thought the hill would be a lot bigger than they were, but I really didn't mind. It was like $15 to go, which I thought was pretty expensive, but what isn't these days. After we went back and got ready, we went to Jolly's, a bar and grill place. They were having karaoke(?) that night. Everyone but Theresa sang. It was fun until it was about 12:30 so Lois took me and Alison back to the timber.

We slept until maybe 10 the next day. We had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Yummy. We made a trip to Wal-Mart for the last essentials for skiing. We had skiing lessons at 2:30. When we got there we got our skis and headed to the bunny hill. Alison totally had a crush on the instructor and totally flirted with him, I found it funny. :) We all learned pretty fast. The lesson was only about 20-30 minutes, I thought it would take longer. We went down the bunny hill one more time before going to the others. None of us got off the ski lift the first time without falling. Then we headed to the smaller hill. The hill down to the easy hill was super big and we all fell. It was funny. It was a lot of fun. We skied for about 6-7 hours.

On Monday we went to Wizard Quest. Alison really wanted to go so we all agreed. It was surprisingly fun. :) After that we went to a candy store across the street. I didn't mind because candy is my favorite thing in the world. I'm totally addicted so sugar, but what girl isn't. After that we headed home. We got home at about 6. I was super tired and sore and the most depressing thing was that I'd have to get up for school the next morning instead of sleeping.

Topic: The weather... :D

I love winter, but I'm honestly looking forward to spring! I'm so glad its getting warm out! It's really nice walking to school in the morning and not freezing my butt off! I was getting so sick of it snowing and being windy out. I think i probably think this because winter started so early this year.

I heard that weather like this goes in 20 year cycles. For about 20 years will have really cold and crappy winters, but then for the 20 years after that it will be warmer with less snow. (It's only what I've heard.)

I like snow for Christmas, but when it starts snowing in November and then it just keeps snowing and snowing I get pretty sick of it. The most I can handle the snow is for 2 1/2 months tops.

The only thing I don't like about spring is that everything is mushy because the snow is melting. I really love the flowers, and how everything is starting to come back to live. I think it's beautiful. I like easter because of all of the colors so that's another plus side.

I'm also looking forward to summer, and getting to hang out with my friends everyday. Plus since we have a pool I can tan and not be a whitey. :P

Topic: My dad finally got a job!

My dad used to work at Cryovac (I'm not sure how you spell it). He found out around Christmas in 2008 that his plant was closing. He was pretty devastated. He worked there for 22 years and out of no where it was closing. The plant in Cedar Rapids was the plant with the best out put and everything. The company owner decided to move the plant to Mexico to save money. On June 26, 2009, was my dad's last day. It was very bad news to our family because we already were having trouble with money.

My dad was pretty depressed and confused. He didn't try to get a job until about last September. It was so bad that my mom filed for divorce because he wouldn't do anything at all. All he did was sleep and go and hang out with my uncle Bruce. He moved out and lived up at my uncle Bruce's. He wouldn't even talk to my mom. It was pretty bad for the whole family.

Getting to the point. My dad finally moved back in because he talked with my mom. This made us all really happy. He started applying for any job he could. A family friend heard about a job at American Profol and knew my dad was still looking so he told him about it. He applied and felt pretty confident. They told him he should take this test a Kirkwood. He took the test and was pretty sure he did good. They rate the test scores on either gold, silver or bronze. The national average is bronze, my dad got silver.

So finally yesterday, after he waited four long days, he got the call saying he got the job. He was so excited he called me singing (he only sings when he's really happy, lol). I started crying because I was so excited for him, it's the best news he had gotten since he lost his job. My mom joked that we won't have to live under the bridge now. I'm so glad that things have finally turned around for our family!!
